We will remember them...

"They grow not old
As we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning,
We will remember them."

(Lawrence Binyon)
This is not a glamorous webpage...
...War of any kind, is not glamourous

I feel it is important for those of us who have never experienced war to take time out of our busy, selfish lives and consider to whom we owe those very lives, and the way in which we are living them.

This site is my way of saying "Thank you" for my past, present and future. Firstly to members of my own family who fought and died, secondly to two brave men whom I adopted through Operation Just Cause, and finally a tribute to an acquaintance, whose life was taken in a different kind of war.

Read, and feel humbled, as I do.

"Where once I walked upon this earth,
Strangers pass me by.
The cannot see, they do not hear
The tears of joy I cry.
It warms my heart, my spirit soars,
To know they think of me,
Remembering the price I paid,
The price to set them free."

After the noise of battle, comes the silence of peace. A peace in which we reflect the debt of gratitude we owe to those who fought, and those who never came home.
